We do not deny that healing the sick in Christian Science is a metaphysical process, for surely it is not a material practice. The same may be said of Jesus' healings; the work was mental, not physical, but it was spiritually so and was not dependent upon human will.

Christian Scientists, in accord with Jesus, rely upon the divine Mind, and with him they pray, "Not as I will, but as Thou wilt." Healing is scientifically and permanently accomplished in exact proportion as the divine Mind takes control and human will is silenced in the effort of the practitioner.
