I have been very much helped by reading many of the testimonies in the Sentinel and Journal, and should like in return to help others by telling a little of what Christian Science has done for me. When first I heard of Christian Science I was very weak and could hardly go about my work. For more than three years I had worn glasses, the doctors saying I would never be able to do without them. If I left them off for half an hour, I suffered great pain, and was unable to see anything. Since coming into Science, I have ceased wearing glasses, and am able to do my work, also to sew and read, except very small print, without them. This was nine months since, and I suffer no pain from my eyes.
Ever since I can remember I have been troubled with sore throat, and always had to wear flannel or a silk handkerchief, and frequently rubbed it with camphorated oil. It is now eighteen months since I stopped wearing anything round my throat or used any material means for it. Some time ago I cut my thumb severely, and through Christian Science treatment the wound healed very quickly. I was able to do all my work, including the washing, which in the old thought would have been impossible.
Two years ago my friends thought I could not live; they say I was a walking shadow and they consider my healing a miracle. I am deeply grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health.
