"Where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?" This deep human yearning for something better, higher, and holier than the systems of the times marked the appearing of our Lord and Saviour nineteen centuries ago, and that Christ Jesus gave to the world the Science of right thinking no Christian man or woman will deny. Christian Science is the re-discovery of the modes and methods of primitive Christianity, showing us how to apply practically Christ's teachings in our daily lives in the overcoming of sickness, sin, and mortal discords. Now a very natural question arises, "Does Christian Science show by its fruits (results) that it is authorized in this assumption?" This query can be answered positively in the affirmative. That within a quarter of a century Christian Science has healed hundreds of thousands of cases, many of them pronounced incurable by physicians, that it has awakened the sinner and reclaimed the infidel and brought happiness and prosperity to thousands of homes which formerly contained gloom, wretchedness, and poverty, are facts that can be abundantly verified by an honest investigator. If these are the present fruits, what may not the harvest be when Christian Science is more generally known and accepted, and its adherents have grown in grace and understanding! Judged from a basis of results, and there is no other consistent and just basis of judgment, Christian Science will be found pre-eminently logical and the acme of common sense.
