From a child I had suffered with constipation and scarcely knew what it was to be natural until it led to a more serious trouble. I had been treated by many physicians, with electricity, and the use of drugs of all kinds for years, and growing worse constantly, I submitted to an operation. As this, however, was of no permanent benefit, and the physician said there was nothing more he could do, through the advice of a friend, I turned to Christian Science as a last resort.

My healing was very slow, and I was many times tempted to give it up. Fear had such a strong hold on me, that I was constantly expecting trouble. I had about ten weeks' treatment, and a great deal of what seemed uphill work, and I think I can truthfully say that had it not been for Christian Science, I should not be here now, enjoying the best health I have ever known. I cannot begin to tell what a great help this truth is in my every-day life. I am very grateful to the dear Scientist who has helped me along the way, and for the benefits derived from the Christian Science literature. Through the study of our Leader's books alone, I have been able to make many demonstrations for myself and others.—F. H. P., Dorchester, Mass.
