I am deeply grateful for all the good that has come into my life through Christian Science. I read the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy, for three hours, and was healed of a trouble in my head from which I had suffered for twelve years, and which prevented me from reading, except at short intervals. If I read for half an hour at a time, especially in the evening, it meant a sleepless night and a very tired head the next day.

I shall never forget the great spiritual uplifting and sweet sense of peace which accompanied the reading of that book. I had then never seen a Christian Scientist, and all that I knew of it was what I had read in some Journals sent me from America by a dear young friend. While reading them I saw that there was another book called "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and as what I had read in the Journals, seemed very beautiful and appealed to me as the teachings of Jesus, having the "signs," which he said should follow them that believe, I thought I must get it, so finding the address of some Christian Scientists at the end of the Journal, I wrote to one and procured a copy, with the result mentioned.

Some time afterwards I took Christian Science treatment, as I suffered from many different ailments, having been all my life in bondage to materia medica, nearly always having to take medicine, or wear plasters. I have sometimes worn as many as six at a time. I have also worn electric belts, and an abdominal support for an internal trouble, for which I had doctored with many physicians, without any permanent relief. I was under Christian Science treatment five weeks, and was healed of the internal trouble from which I had suffered for more than twenty years, constipation of many years' standing, liver and stomach trouble, neuralgia, and sick headaches. It is now four years and a half since I had treatments, and I have never used any material remedies since. Some time after, I had the privilege of class instruction, for which I am very grateful, as it has been a grateful, help to me.
