I became interested in Christian Science about two years...
I became interested in Christian Science about two years ago through the healing of my husband. He was a sufferer from lung trouble, and had been doomed to die by the numerous physicians who had attended him. Since then I have had overwhelming proof of the power of divine Love, and know that it does meet all human need. Three of our family received class instructions about a year ago, and it has been our great privilege to help others as well as ourselves.
A short time ago a number of friends had been invited to lunch with us. When I awoke on that morning it was to find that an old ailment of years' standing—sick headache—was holding me down with an iron grip. My first thought was to telephone, asking them to postpone their visit, but my next thought was, "Divine Love always has met, and always will meet, every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). Not being able to overcome the condition myself. I sent word to my teacher who helped me. The healing was instantaneous. In less than half an hour I was up and dressed, feeling as well as ever.
When our friends arrived at noon they never dreamed that only a few hours before I had not been able to raise my head from my pillow. Under materia medica these attacks lasted at least twenty-four hours. I thank God for Christian Science.—D. M. N., Cleveland, O.
