Words cannot express how thankful I am that Christian Science found its way to Charleston. Seven years ago I heard the first talk from a Christian Scientist, and had two treatments for severe pain in my head and back. I had used external remedies but had no relief. It was said to me to try Christian Science. I did so, and two treatments had the desired result.

I took class instruction seven years ago this March. While in class my teacher asked me to take off the glasses, which I had worn for over ten years. I could not read even large print without them. Five days after class, I read Science and Health, also handwriting, and have had no need for glasses since. I read, write, and sew by lamplight when necessary. Best of all, Christian Science has brought me happiness and health, for many other ills have disappeared, among them, dyspepsia, headaches, and neuralgia.

The members of my family have been much benefited. One of my sons took class instruction and we are members of the Mother Church, also of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Charleston. I am trying to be grateful that I have been called to others to tell them the glad tidings of the healing power which belongs to God alone.
