I was able to have some few months of treatment and occasional visits to a dear Christian Science practitioner whose loving ministry proved very helpful at that time, as well as on many subsequent occasions. If she had not been most patient she must have given up the task, for all sorts of troubles seemed to hold me in boundage. Once or twice, perhaps more, I have seen the effect of the truth upon others who were held by physical ailments, and I would most gratefully acknowledge that whenever this has occurred it has nearly always been the outcome of a strong realization of Love; so I have been able to ascribe all the power to divine Love,—Spirit,—the All in all.
I am conscious of much that remains to be done in all directions so far as I am personally concerned, but the knowledge that we can and will attain unto "the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus," is a constant inspiration. This knowledge I have begun to receive and believe, through reading and endeavoring to put into practice the teachings of Christian Science as given in Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy. I have never met and probably never shall meet this lady, but I seem to know and love her through a sense of the same love for my fellows which has characterized her life and her books.
