A few weeks ago I attempted to catch one of our horses which had escaped from the stable, and just as I was about to take her by the forelock, she turned and kicked me high above the knee, throwing me some distance with great violence. I had a clear sense of the ever-presence of God, and arose at once. The limb swelled and the flesh turned black the size of a large saucer. The swelling was nearly gone in a few hours and I felt no soreness in walking, but there seemed to be a claim of internal injury with attending hemorrhages, which became so serious I had to remain in bed. I called for a practitioner and the whole trouble disappeared in five days' treatment.

We read in the June, 1902, Message of our Leader to the Mother Church. "A danger besets thy path?—a spiritual behest, in reversion, awaits you." This was proven to me by the new light that came to my consciousness through the power of divine Love.
