The first ray of the true light—Christian Science—came to me sixteen years ago after many years of suffering and invalidism. The last hope in material help had failed. The words that told me of this blessed truth were to me the sweetest I had ever heard. I had great faith in prayer, and believed that God did answer prayers when offered trustingly.

I had never heard of Christian Science, and when told it was the same healing that Jesus taught and practised, I said, "It can heal me, I must have it." I was so comforted by this assurance that it was the Christ-healing, that the healing began even before I wrote to the Christian Scientist, one of Mrs. Eddy's students in Chicago, who gave the treatment. Although greatly benefited from the first, my healing was slow.

Two years later I had the privilege of class instruction from Mrs. Eddy. I cannot recount the blessings that I have received physically and spiritually since coming to Christian Science. Divine Love sustained me in the face of many trials, by the realization that God—Mind—is All in all and is supreme.
