If any one has reason to be grateful for Christian Science, it is I Christian Science found me in a pitiful condition. I had been ill for twenty-five years and every medical aid had been employed to bring relief. Notwithstanding this, my condition grew worse, so that I was confined to my bed for four months. That I accepted Christian Science as a drowning man catches at a straw, will easily be seen.

A friend called my attention to Christian Science while I was in bed crying bitterly over my most lamentable condition. A practitioner was immediately sent for, and I shall never forget the day when this faithful servant of Truth revealed to me that there is nothing impossible with God. My hope began to rise, and after three months I was healed.

I had a rupture and also an internal trouble; I had a wooden board wrapped in wadding tied to my left side to keep me up. and I was lame. How great was my joy and how grateful I felt to God and Christian Science, when I could leave my bed for the first time after four months, and walk about like a little child. The Scientist took me by the hand and led me down stairs that I might enjoy God's beautiful world.
