Being Original
WHAT is originality? Is it something to be avoided as undesirable, something which separates its possessor from well-balanced and orderly thought, or is it a quality of mind to be coveted by all who strive for the attainment of whatever may increase their serviceableness to mankind?
The best answer to these questions is found in the lives of all truly great men and women whose achievements prove that Mind is ever unfolding new and higher expressions of character.
The following definitions of the word are taken from the Standard Dictionary: "Immediately produced by one own thought;" "not copied nor produced by imitation or compilation;" "having the power to obtain new ideas of truth."
