The Lectures

Carol Norton, C.S.D., of New York City, delivered a lecture on "The Teachings of Christian Science" to an audience which nearly filled the Victoria Theatre on Thursday evening, February 26. The audience, which was a fairly representative one and included a number of clergymen and physicians, paid the closest attention throughout, and warmly applauded at the close.

This lecture, which is the first given in this city, was under the auspices of the Christian Science Society, and its success equalled all expectations. The chair was acceptably filled by Mr. C. A. Cushing, President of the Port Angeles Eastern Railroad Co., who introduced the lecturer in a few well-chosen, appropriate words. Mr. Cushing is well known in Victoria, and was accompanied to the city by a number of Christian Scientists from Port Angeles, Wash., who came over to attend the lecture.—Correspondence.
