A Child of God
A CHILD OF GOD! What name can ever seem so precious to us as this? What thoughts of love and trust it awakens, as we realize the full significance of this title! What a revelation it is of our divine birthright!
If God is our only parent, then we inherit from Him alone all of His perfection, and we may lose the fear of that old law of heredity which the ages have made for us. The past fears and worries which have made life a burden drop away from us one by one, as we realize this great truth: that we are children of the one Father-Mother God, who governs and controls all in perfect harmony, each child reflecting all good, health, strength, and wisdom.
The material father and mother, though still as dearly loved as ever, take a different place to us, and while we turn to them always as our dearest and best on earth, the realization of our spiritual birth and oneness with the infinite Mind gives us a new and better understanding of our human relationship, and through our love for the divine Father, we grow in love for our earthly parents, while realizing still that good is our only inheritance.
