Nearly five years ago I was a hopeless wreck in the eyes of the people. I had tried everything that materia medica could offer, but finding no help, was carried to New Orleans to a well-known doctor, who pronounced my case hopeless if an operation failed; that the knife was the only hope. This made my mother heart-sick and she secretly asked God that moment if there were not another way to health. A thought was presented that there was,—to go to God, the Great Physician.
We started home immediately, and on our arrival, a very dear friend sent me a copy of the Sentinel. I picked it up and the first testimony I read was the healing of a case similar to my own,—a tumor of the stomach. That very instant, I had my mother throw away every drop of medicine that was there for my use, then I wrote to a practitioner, and began treatment. I was healed in three weeks, and have been in perfect health ever since.
Christian Science has done much for me in various ways. I have had some wonderful demonstrations for myself and others. What a comfort to know that God is All, and there is none beside Him. I have not only been helped physically, but morally, through Christian Science.
