Our youngest child was very feeble after his birth and many people doubted if he would live. One physician said that he suffered from rickets. When the child was a year old, he could sit up only a few moments at a time, if he was propped up on pillows. Some people prophesied that the child would not walk until he was three and a half years old, and others said he would remain mentally dull.
We heard of Christian Science six years ago, long before it was practised in Zurich, and I had gained such confidence in this new teaching that I was reluctant to employ material remedies for the healing of the child, although I was undoubtedly looked upon as one of the most indifferent of mothers. As soon as the opportunity was given us here I turned to Christian Science treatment for the child. He was then one year old. From the first week he became more lively and I noticed his awakening from week to week; his appetite came and the signs of the malady quickly disappeared. In five weeks he was healed. When he was two years old he walked alone and erect. At the present time, he is four and a half years old and stronger and taller than most children of his age. Mentally he is quite normal and daily I listen to the surprised remarks of people, when they notice the growth of the child.
We feel very grateful to God for His help.
