I have long wished to express my gratitude for the help received from our periodicals, and recent blesings lead me to express my thankfulness. Many times their message has exactly supplied my need.
I am more than grateful to our Leader, who has demonstrated over the trials and struggles before us, and when I think of her, it gives me new courage for greater effort. I think sometimes we are apt to forget how great are our blessings.
Truth has worked slowly but surely in our sense; there have been seeming trials and failures, but we have triumphs if we are obedient. Recently, in thinking of our blessings, it came to me that our whole family has been freed from the belief of inherited consumption, healed from the fear of it, also from typhoid fever and pneumonia in their worst form; in fact, our benefits have been greater than we have realized. Truth has given me all the happiness I have.—Miss Emily Harmon, Ellisgrove, Ill.
