I feel that I can no longer delay sending my grateful testimony to the Field. I first heard of Christian Science four years ago, and became very much interested in seeing the work done for others, but did rot at that time think it was what I needed, although I knew I was very far from being a happy woman. I did not then think that my prayer for light was to be answered by Christian Science. I seemed to be drifting on a wide ocean of human hopes and fears, subject often to seasons of discouragement and gloom, and this mental depression was thought to be due to physical ills.

Some three years prior to my first knowledge of Christian Science, an inner abnormal growth made its appearance. I was told by the physician whom I consulted that nothing but the knife would remove this growth, and I was advised to go to a hospital and submit to an operation. I realize now that I was being led by divine Mind, and instead of accepting the advice, I decided to go to a Christian Science practitioner and ask if I could be healed. The answer was: "Yes, there is nothing impossible to God." This inspired me with confidence, and I immediately asked for and received treatments.

In ten days I was not only healed of this growth, but other chronic troubles that had been with me for twelve years, also disappeared. A diseased condition of the right lung, caused by a severe attack of pleural-pneumonia fifteen years ago, has also yielded to the power of Truth as understood and demonstrated in Christian Science. I never expected to regain the use of the lung, as my right side was sunken and the right shoulder was an inch lower than the other. A month after taking treatment I discarded the pad I had been wearing on the shoulder, and I can now breathe freely and am nearly straight. Better than all. I know God is able to mak me "every whit whole." "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is I eaven is perfect."
