In 1898, my eyes were healed of astigmatism and farsightedness in one treatment.
On account of general weakness it had been impossible for good oculists to do anything to help them, but in a few hours after the one treatment in Christian Science my eyes were perfectly normal and I was able to use them right along.
With this healing my thought was naturally turned to Christian Science, which I studied with eagerness, striving to understand the Principle of my healing. A year or two later I came to the city, and my one desire was to have class instruction and the privilege of the Christian Science services, which I had never had before. In order to do this, it was necessary for me to support myself while there.
