To the many testimonials of truly marvelous healing...
To the many testimonials of truly marvelous healing published in the Christian Science periodicals, I desire to add mine, with the hope that it may be read by some who need the help of Truth as I did before Christian Science lifted me out of my misery, and gave to me perfect health and happiness.
In my testimony which appeared in the Los Angeles Case and was published in the Journal, I gave a brief statement of my healing, but there were many witnesses to be heard, and since it was my first appearance before a jury my statement was not as full and comprehensive as I would like to make it.
Christian Science came to me in the spring of 1901 when everything that could offer any hope of relief in a material way had been exhausted. When it was first mentioned to me I was opposed to trying it, but no other hope appearing, I grasped at it as the last straw. From childhood I had never been strong and always had more or less trouble with my stomach. In early womanhood other troubles appeared, and as I grew in years became more serious. For over fifteen years before I was healed by Christian Science I was afflicted with a complication of diseases that baffled the efforts of competent physicians.
