This is my anniversary month, and I think I cannot celebrate it better than by giving my testimony in grateful acknowledgment to the truth and what it has done for me.

I was in the Union army during the Civil War, and in that service I contracted several ailments which caused me to resign my commission. These troubles were on me ever since 1862, but I managed to attend to business, and for this I was very thankful. I was, however, most of the time in the hands of different physicians, and no one could give me but temporary relief. I used patent medicines of all sorts—baths, electricity, all were of no avail. The more I took the worse I got.

At last I found that "Man's extremity is God's opportunity," and I accepted Christian Science as my only physician. It did not take very long until these troubles disappeared under the touch of truth. I need hardly say that doctors and drugs are now things of the past.
