Fifteen years ago I accepted Christian Science, and I would like to tell how I came to do so.
My brother, after traveling to the Pacific Coast and trying many physicians, was healed by Christian Science. When he left for the coast, his friends bade him good-bye, and said they never expected to see him again, as they thought he had consumption. I was very curious to know what had healed him. I also wanted to know what had changed him so, and made him look at life so differently.
In the Bible we read, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." My brother purchased Science and Health and gave it to me to read. I took the book and would not leave it until I finished it. I knew it was what I needed as soon as I had read a few pages. After reading I went to him and told him it was just what I had wanted all my life. If I had had it in my youth it would have saved me from much. How many problems I could have worked out correctly, and how greatly I could have helped others over rough places.
