I was seventy years of age last December and I was a physical wreck. I had a rupture caused by a blow from a plow handle twenty-three years ago; piles for fifty years, which had been operated upon by specialists five times and not cured; rheumatism, and kidney trouble. All that seemed left was the poorhouse or suicide, and I had decided on the latter for I thought life was not worth living and nothing could be worse than this. I happened to see a sign "Christian Science Healer," and I went in. This was about the first of February. I told the Christian Scientist I was ruptured and concluded to try treatment, and now I can say truly I thank God I did, for I have been healed of piles, kidney trouble, and rheumatism, and am almost well of rupture. I must say, thank God, Mrs. Eddy, and my healer for what Christian Science has done for me. I have not tasted medicine since I first spoke to my healer and never expect to again.—B. N. Reed, Shawnee, O.
