THE following recently expressed comments give evidence of the dawning of a clerical judgment which is not in bondage to prejudice.

The Rev. Frederick W. Millar of the Ryder Memorial Universalist Church of Chicago, in speaking from his pulpit with reference to the attitude of many religious teachers toward Christian Science, said:—

"Nothing can be more clear than that this comparatively new and vigorous branch of the Church of Christ has a perfect right to interpret the gospel after its own manner, and to infuse into its followers any spirit not incompatible with the public peace.
