Thanksgiving in the Branch Churches

WE are compelled to ask our readers and contributors to be satisfied with this acknowledgment of the reports of the Thanksgiving Day services in the branch churches, and to accept the statement that we would gladly publish all the reports if space permitted. We are, however, unable to publish all without devoting an entire issue to them, which is, of course, impracticable.

The reports all show that the services throughout the Field were well attended, and that a great sense of peace and happiness was manifested by the congregations; that the beauty and appropriateness of the Lesson-Sermon were recognized, and the opportunity for bearing testimony to the healing and regenerating influence and power of Christian Science was greatly appreciated, and in most instances the time allotted to this feature of the service was all too short for the accommodation of those who desired to speak. Many who had not spoken at the Wednesday evening meetings availed themselves of this opportunity to testify to benefits received. The testimonies were not confined to cases of physical healing; there were abundant expressions of deep gratitude for moral and spiritual uplifting, and thankfulness for a larger and better thought about the holiday and its significance.

All the reports received agree in their expressions of gratitude to our Leader for this welcome and helpful addition to our regular services.
