I was healed, when I was dying, and several of the organs were inactive. I had been an invalid for several years, and weighed less than one hundred pounds and now I am in perfect health and weigh one hundred and fifty pounds. It has been fourteen years since Christian Science saved me from the grave. Before becoming a Christian Scientist I was bitten by a spider; the flesh seemed to come out to the bone, and extended almost around my arm. Since accepting Christian Science I was again bitten, behind my ear. Error suggested every danger, but it was perfectly met in twenty-four hours, and the great comfort to me was, that the fear of the spider was destroyed,—I saw that the danger was a dead mortal law, and my own belief of it; that it was not the spider at all.
I have also been greatly helped in my disposition. I was once revengeful and unforgiving, and full of false pride, which has been destroyed through the understanding of the Science of Being; by knowing that we have dominion over every false suggestion, and by knowing that discord is no part of our real self, and is as separate as our right hand is from the left.
I could write at length of the blessings received, as could all Christian Scientists.—B. S., Dallas, Tex.
