I wish to tell of Christian Science healing in our family

I wish to tell of Christian Science healing in our family First, because I believe grateful acknowledgment of God's benefits should be the first fruits of renewed spiritual life, and secondly, because I know from experience how these very experiences in detail serve as beacon lights to others striving for spiritual and physical perfection.

Visiting some Christian Science friends I was persuaded to try Christian Science, because I had remarked at break-fast that I could never take coffee, as extreme nervousness and headache followed. I added that I had constant headache, and had been taking medicine which seemed in effectual. Their attitude toward trouble and sickness of all kinds, exhibiting so great a confidence in God that it seemed to me to be surprisingly Scriptural, opened my eyes to the practicality of Christian Science.

On my return I bought a copy of Science and Health and a Journal, and read them during a short visit to Lakewood.
