"God is Good, Good to-day."
"God is Good, Good to-day." This means to me that God is declared again to-day, even as Jesus "declared Him" (John); and He is seen through the works, many of which our publications are continually telling.
It expresses also my thought of love and gratitude for the Rev. Mary Baker Eddy, the one through whom the declaration of God has been given to-day, and through whose love, unselfishness, and faithfulness to the right, first reaching me through her faithful student, I have been enabled to realize better physical health and the desire to be made truly whole, to awake in His likeness (Psalms). I am thankful and full of joy as I read of the peace and understanding and freedom coming to those who write for our publications.
After eleven years of bondage to glasses worn constantly for astigmatism, and far-sightedness, and with much difficulty most of that time, I was enabled to lay them aside one night when our child was under Christian Science treatment five and one half years ago, and never put them on again. And I am free from any difficulty, so that if it were not for my desire to give thanks, I need never think of it all again. I have seen through Christian Science treatment in our family alone, the entire overcoming and casting out of fear expressed in chronic bronchitis in aggravated form, chronic indigestion, malaria, sprained ankle, influenza, neuralgia, and rheumatism. I am trying to live my gratitude.—A. E. B., Providence, R. I.
