Over twelve years ago Christian Science was presented to my thought, and it certainly did not come by chance, but at the time when I was sadly in need of its healing power and presence, and its divine Principle, God. As I now know, I was in the very depths of darkness and despair with neither health nor strength to sustain me.

Through materia medica and its laws I was doomed to actual starvation. The last physician I tried, prescribed for my daily food a teaspoonful of peptonized powder in a glass of boiled milk for each meal, but with no promise of help from even that. I tried to swallow the dose as prescribed; for three months actually being starved to death. Knowing nothing better, I seemed compelled to submit.

While waiting for what I knew not, came these words to me: Did you ever hear of Christian Science? I said, "No." I was asked why I did not try it. I was told it was all from the Bible and it would not hurt me and I would not have to take any medicine, and I was given the name and address of a Christian Scientist. I will say that from the first treatment my whole life was changed, I had found my God. I took several treatments, bought Science and Health, and in due time studied, and no matter how hard the seeming battles over sense and self, I have never let go, and the victories on the side of right cannot be numbered.—Mrs. Minnie B.
