Turn your Face to the Light

Truth brings only joy, turn your face to the Light,
O sister, O brother;
You work for yourselves when you work for the right,
And work for each other.

If afraid, turn your back on the shapes that affright,'
As shadows unbidden;
The dark side to him who moves toward the Light
Always is hidden.

If you hide not from God He shines on your way
With light ever glorious;
And to one in God's light there is never a day
That is not victorious.

Shun ever the darkness, seek ever the Light,
In your journey, O mortal;
And remember that brightness, not shadows or night,
Streams out from God's portal.
