SOUL'S INFINITE RESOURCES

Unlimited happiness, health, and supply are ours when we turn from the limiting belief of life in matter and understand the grand realities of spiritual existence. Man made in the image and likeness of God, as stated in the first chapter of Genesis, is the expression of God and therefore is not subject to the limitations of space, time, and material thinking.

Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 60), "Soul has infinite resources with which to bless mankind, and happiness would be more readily attained and would be more secure in our keeping, if sought in Soul." In this text the word "Soul" is capitalized, indicating that it is here used as a synonym for God, unlimited, omnipotent Spirit, Mind.

Mrs. Eddy also writes (ibid., p. 466): "The term souls or spirits is as improper as the term gods. Soul or Spirit signifies Deity and nothing else." Man does not have a personal soul of his own, but God, Soul, is expressed through man.
