Christ never fails
The light of Christ surrounds you.
For several Years, I regularly drove down some back roads as a shortcut to my business appointments. On one of these roads, I would pass a little church that had a permanent sign in front that read, "Christ never fails." "What a comforting message," I would say to myself, "but what does it really mean?"
Science and Health explains, "Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness" (p. 332). How many of us can recall times when it seemed difficult to hear God's message? So how can we say, "Christ never fails"?
I got my answer to this question in an unusual way. One morning, when I arose early to pray as I do every day, I looked out my window and spotted a hornets' nest in my tree, silhouetted against the predawn sky. I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach because of problems we had had in the past with hornets' nests in the yard.
