It's not your committee!
Let God help you mind your own business.
I was concerned about something that I felt wasn't being done correctly. Seeing how upset I was, a friend calmly said, "Why, that's not your committee." I had to think about what she'd said for a few moments before I really understood.
The situation wasn't my business, it certainly wasn't my responsibility, and it definitely didn't warrant my getting so disturbed. I'd gotten myself all worked up for nothing. Instantly, I was freed from the burden I'd been carrying. I would trust God with the outcome. What a relief.
Have you seen someone doing something you didn't agree with and felt it was your duty to offer your opinion? I used to do this. But as much as we may feel we know what's best, and as well meaning as our advice may be, we can trust that God is revealing to everyone what he or she needs to know. Mary Baker Eddy writes, "Divine Love corrects and governs man" (Science and Health, p. 6). Think about it: why would God tell us and not the other person, anyway?
