For children
When Eric prayed
Once Eric and his friend got separated from his parents at a big fair. He didn't know where his mom and dad had gone. Lots of people were all around, but they didn't know who his parents were. Eric didn't see a policeman anywhere.
Eric and Bill walked all over, but with no results. It was getting dark and they began to be afraid. Then quite suddenly Eric remembered what he had learned in his Christian Science Sunday School about praying to God. He shut his eyes and asked God to tell him what to do. The answer came as clearly as if someone had said it, "Go to the car."
That's what Eric and Bill did, and sure enough there were Mom and Dad waiting for them. They had been praying, too, and looking everywhere. Everybody was thanking God for His care. They knew that God's children can never be separated for an instant from Him, so Eric and Bill had to be safe.
