"I love you, brother!"

When one heart reaches out to another, barriers come down and real communication takes place.

The melodious, heartfelt words of the big man ricocheted off the passing shoppers and sightseers to pierce deep within my receptive heart. "I love you, too!" I shouted back, as the passersby did double takes at the two of us.

Visually, there appeared little to tie us together as brothers. And yet, something strong and binding passed between the two of us in the less than thirty minutes prior to my departure.

I was first attracted to the street preacher by his strong bass voice as he sang his sermon instead of speaking it. Having asked my daughter to meet me at the bench opposite the man when she completed her shopping, at that moment I was the only stationary member of his continuously flowing congregation.
