Obedience
The gentle Shepherd
Leads His sheep
Tenderly, watchfully.
Oftentimes the path
Is steep and rocky,
Yet the sheep
Trustingly, obediently
Heed the call of the Shepherd.
O Father, may my listening
Be lamblike,
Quiet, trustful,
Expectant, hopeful—
Silently rejoicing
Patiently waiting
Meekly following You
The good Shepherd, calling
And leading me safely
In Your care.
