"Gratitude and love should abide in every heart each day of all the years" (Mary Baker Eddy, Manual of The Mother Church, Art. XVII, Sect. 2). This sentence arrested my attention early in my study of Christian Science, and I am grateful to share some of the fruitage I have gained through my study and practice of Science.

While reading the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, for the first time, I was healed of two longstanding difficulties, namely, indigestion and constipation. I had taken medicine regularly from childhood for these conditions. Since my reading the textbook, about thirty years ago, no medication whatsoever has been taken for any physical difficulties. Prayer in Christian Science has met all my needs.

Shortly after joining a branch church, I noticed the appearance of a cyst on my head. I had previously had a similar cyst surgically removed. Now I recognized an opportunity to rely on Christian Science to prove that God is the only healer of all our diseases, that His law is always in operation, and that only good can occur. In a few days the cyst drained and the scalp returned to normal with no discomfort. This was over twenty years ago and there has been no recurrence. This healing encouraged me in my commitment to Christian Science healing.
