To work God 's work is to pray rightly
Bringing spiritual solutions to as many problems as we can from day to day—for ourselves and others, for our churches, for the wider community—is working God's work. We do this in the way Christian Science teaches—through effective spiritual prayer.
Have you ever prayed such prayer? The Bible, Mrs. Eddy's writings, and the Christian Science periodicals are full of spiritual thoughts that uplift and inspire us. Clinging to such thoughts is prayer.
One night I prayed for a little boy who was suffering from smallpox. At first there seemed to be no result from my prayer. Then I realized I must see that he expressed perfection already, and that perfection was the only fact of his being. As I persisted in knowing this, both the boy and I were lifted above false sense testimony. The next day he was healed completely.
