LETTERS TO THE PRESS
From Christian Science Committees on Publication
Canadian Doctor
Works more than words
A medical magazine in Canada published an unusual posthumous memoir by a "friendly doctor" who had become acquainted with some Christian Scientists during his lifetime. The author gave the impression (on the basis of his own very limited experience) that Christian Science practitioners frequently advise medical diagnosis for their patients. The following letter from the Committee on Publication was carried in full by the magazine.
As the article in the Canadian Doctor tends to indicate, practical and convincing healing experiences, more than easygoing relationships, deepen respect for and understanding of Christian Science. Not unlike the maxim "one picture is worth a thousand words" is the Christian Scientist's radical insistence on practice more than preaching, works more than words!
