What is it like to be infinite?
Does it mean feeling a human expansiveness? No more than experiencing eternity implies feeling youthful or aged.
To be infinite is to know oneself as the expression of Life itself, rather than as a mortal entity. It means being the very manifestation of Love—something far more than being a loving human. It means understanding oneself as the idea of Principle.
We feel the infinity of our true being in expressing the joy, the beauty, the majesty, and the freedom of one unending Mind. "God is one," writes our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, "and His idea, image, or likeness, man, is one. But God is infinite and so includes all in one." The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 239; Individual man reflects the oneness and allness of God's infinite being. Knowing our limitless nature as reflection brings out the liberty Christ Jesus promised when he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32;
