Light for a perfect picture

Photography is based on light. Regardless of the size, cost, or make of a camera, this rule is unvarying and irrevocable: no light, no picture.

Christian Science is also based on an unvarying rule of light. But this light is not material. It's the divine light that brings understanding, the light of Christ, Truth. As Mrs. Eddy explains in Science and Health, "Christ expresses God's spiritual, eternal nature." Science and Health, p. 333; This expression, or spiritual light, reveals a perfect picture: God and His changeless universe, including man. Christ presents man as the reflection of divine Mind, created by Spirit, and exposes matter existence as a false sense of life.

"God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light," Ps. 118:27; the Bible tells us. Christ Jesus instructed mankind how to perceive and demonstrate this light, how to grasp and apply man's God-given dominion. Through parable and works he taught the perfect picture—one God, infinitely good, and His beloved creation, including incorporeal, perfect man.
