My family and I have been blessed and healed numerous times through the teaching and application of Christian Science. Several years ago I suffered a heart attack at home. Immediately a Christian Science practitioner was called to pray for me. In addition to her prayer, she came to our home and talked with me, read from Mrs. Eddy's writings, and sang hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal. She reminded me that in my real being as God's child, I was not looking up to perfection but was looking out from it, and that this condition of the flesh was essentially a mortal dream.
During the next day or so, we both prayed. Among the most inspiring truths I read are these words from Hymn No. 52 in the Hymnal:
