I am a student in a Christian Science Sunday School
I am a student in a Christian Science Sunday School. One evening two summers ago, I was in the barn, doing chores with my brother and sister. Somehow, someone knocked a pitchfork off its nail on the wall, and it fell, piercing my boot, shoe, and foot. I knew that man is God's reflection and I couldn't be hurt.
I left the barn and walked down to the house, knowing this truth all the way. The thing that helped the most was "the scientific statement of being" from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. It includes these words (p. 468): "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual."
When I got to the house, my mom called a Christian Science practitioner, who prayed for me. The bleeding stopped right away, and by the time I went to bed I was feeling much better.
