From the Directors

The Christian Science Board of Directors is pleased to announce the election of Nathan A. Talbot, C. S. B., of Boise, Idaho, as Associate Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science.

Mr. Talbot succeeds Peter J. Henniker-Heaton, who passed on September 10, after a career of outstanding service to our Cause. Mr. Henniker-Heaton was Editor of The Home Forum page of The Christian Science Monitor for eleven years and was Editorial Consultant to the Board of Directors from 1964 until his appointment as Associate Editor on October 1, 1975.

Our new Associate Editor was reared in Idaho. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho, in Moscow, Idaho, and Willamette University College of Law, Salem, Oregon, and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar Association in 1968. While a student he was active in Christian Science organizations at both universities, where he served in a number of positions, including Reader and president.

Mr. Talbot has been a member of The Mother Church since 1962 and a contributor to the Christian Science periodicals since 1964. He is listed as a practitioner in the Journal. In addition to experience as Committee on Publication for the state of Idaho since 1971, Mr. Talbot earlier served as Regional Assistant for the University and College Organizations Division of the Department of Branches and Practitioners. He is a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boise, where he has served in a wide variety of activities. He was a member of the 1976 Normal class.
