I have been a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School since I was eight years old. I am now thirteen years old. I am very grateful for Sunday School, where I am learning to apply the Bible teachings of Christ Jesus and this Science, as we study the writings of Mrs. Eddy.

In August, 1972, I had an experience of healing in my family. On that Sunday my parents were at home, and we children went for a walk. My father felt a strong pain below his left ribs, and my mother declared right away that error doesn't have power. My parents don't know how to read. Papa asked for some orange tea [common home remedy], and while Momma was making it, he said, "Don't make it; it won't help anything." And then he passed out. Momma shook him and called him, saying, "This is nothing." He became conscious, took a drink of water, and lamented, "I'm not going to be able to rear my children."

I then arrived home, and my mother asked me to read aloud from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. My brothers arrived. I read out loud for a long while, and everyone listened attentively.
