As a youngster I loved to attend the Christian Science Sunday School. I received there an understanding of God's love and ever-presence, which I used in my daily activities.

Whenever a problem did arise, it was always met by my applying this truth. Then in my sophomore year of high school I started feeling nausea from time to time. This didn't seem to yield to prayer as other problems had. Before any activity, either in or out of school, from school examinations to going on a camping trip, I would always have an upset stomach.

During these experiences I would cling to something from the Bible, especially to the ninety-first Psalm, or a statement in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy I had learned in Sunday School. After handling each attack in this manner I would dismiss it as the last.
