Windows of Heaven

In medieval times the narrow openings in the walls of the turrets of a fortress could serve as lookouts for the approach of would-be invaders and as posts of defense from attack.

As we look out on today's world, to human view mankind appears to be virtually surrounded by threats to peace and happiness; calamities seem broadcast over the earth. Countless unresolved problems, individual and collective, spread uncertainty and fear.

Yet it was in the midst of such turbulent and godless times that the biblical prophecy of Malachi declared: "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Mal. 3:10;
