What Are We Really Willing to Give?
What would you give to be happy—not occasionally but continuously? What would you give to enjoy your work, your family, your community? What would you give to be assured of enduring health in mind and body?
The answer is almost startling in its simplicity: what you alone can give is your own basic, innermost thought. When we are wise enough to recognize this, we can find the truly straight and narrow path of healing in Christian Science. Correct thinking helps us stay in that path, able to overcome trouble, disease, lack, ill humor, able to face the myriad trials of human life. Perhaps this was the reason Paul wrote, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Phil. 2:5;
If we can learn what Christ Jesus taught of the perfect, spiritual man made in God's image and likeness, then we will be acquiring an understanding of our own spiritual perfection and the perfection of all creation. This is the purity of thinking that Christian Science teaches, It is with this purification of thought that we gain the power to heal.
