I am most grateful for Christian Science

I am most grateful for Christian Science. In the two years I have been studying this wonderful way of life I have received numerous blessings.

I found Christian Science during my senior year of college. I was majoring in medical technology, had a very high scholastic average, and was only twenty credits away from graduation. In the middle of my one-year hospital internship I went to a local community fair, where I picked up the Christian Science pamphlet "God's Law of Adjustment" from a Christian Science literature distribution table. When I read it, I just knew it was the truth. It thrilled me. I obtained a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The words I read in this book made me realize I could no longer believe in medicine or in any part of the medical theory.

My experiences in the hospital seen in this new light supported what I was learning in Science and Health. I knew Science was the truth, but I was frightened because I'd have to drop out of college, lose my career, turn down a terrific job offer, and I'd probably disappoint my dad terribly. He had financed four years of college. But six months later I realized I had to drop out of college. With help from a Christian Science practitioner, I clung to Christ Jesus' words (Matt. 6:33) "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" and to the idea in Isaiah (41:10): "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
