Where Are You?
It was two thirty in the morning when the phone rang. A woman was calling a Christian Science practitioner from an overseas city. In acute physical distress, she blurted out, "I'm afraid because of where I am."
"But where are you?" the practitioner quickly asked. Before the woman could answer, she continued, "Why, you're in the kingdom of heaven right now!"
What great relief the caller felt! Then together they reaffirmed that man is spiritual, not material. He is not located in matter but is always living and moving in the universe of Spirit, totally safe in infinite Mind, the heaven of God's ever-presence. Mrs. Eddy gives the spiritual sense of "heaven" in the Christian Science textbook as "harmony; the reign of Spirit; government by divine Principle; spirituality; bliss; the atmosphere of Soul."
